What the Heck is Pebo?!

Have you heard of the BODUM Pebo and thought, what the heck is that'? Or maybe you've seen it, or something like it and thought, 'how on earth does that work'? Well, the Pebo is a vacuum coffee maker. Let us explain how it works with the help of the good folks at Bodum.

The vacuum brew method has fascinated generations of passionate coffee drinkers with its theatrical technique. The vacuum system is also exceptionally effective, it extracts all of the flavourful oils and aromas from your coffee without the use of paper filters. Users can view the entire dramatic brewing process through the borosilicate glass parts of the BODUM Pebo Coffee Maker.

Just 4 east steps to using the Pebo Vacuum Coffee Maker!

Bodum's first vaccuum coffee maker was introduced in the fifties, but it was actually the production of the SANTOS Vacuum Coffee Maker in 1958 that made Bodum a household name. The Peboworks exactly the same as the original - water heats in the lower chamber, creating vapor pressure that forces the boiling water up to mix with the coffee grounds. The coffee maker is then removed from the heat and vacuum pressure draws the now brewed coffee downward through a strainer, and into the bottom chamber for serving.
