This past Saturday we hosted an exciting evening of wine, experiments, and incredible food with Riedel Crystal and Revival House Restaurant. So, does wine glass shape REALLY MATTER after all??? We received so much feedback from our guests that we wanted to share it with you.
We love hosting events like this one that are fun, interactive, and educational. If are you interested in joining us for similar events in the future, please let us know and be sure to join our mailing list so you are the FIRST to know about them.
"I have to say, we were truly entertained AND educated! The wine doesn't lie and the right glass DOES make a difference! Thanks for this Riedel event, Bradshaws Kitchen Detail and Revival House for the incredible meal and ambiance." - Mary Margaret Gascho (via Facebook)
"We along with some friends attended the Riedel Tasting event last evening. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. We are wine drinkers and have been to many tastings but never to one as informative as this one. I would not have believed that the glass made such a difference. The venue, the meal and the hospitality of Bradshaws was second to none. Thanks for a great evening." - Mary Lynne Wilton, Woodstock
"Great Riedel tasting event last night @RevivalHouseON ... Thanks @Bradshaws1895 for all your hard work and good company too." - Hankie Nguyen (via Twitter)
"I really enjoyed the whole presentation by Stewart. He was very entertaining and once we got going I realized that there was something to this whole thing...having "the why" explained as to how the shape and edge of the specific glasses changes how the wine flows into your mouth and hits your palate, made sense and enlightened this skeptic" - Mike Roney, Bayfield
We were also pretty excited when Kristene Steed, Co-Owner of Rheo Thompson Candies called us to say that she was so impressed by the wine and chocolate paring at our Riedel Event, that she decided to switch from the stemware she was using to RIEDEL Veritas to perform her own chocolate and wine parings at her store! A high compliment from a chocolate aficionado!
We would like to thank Stewart Risto and Wayne Bentley of Riedel Crystal, Candice and Rob Wigan, Chef Byron Hallett and the staff at Revival House Restaurant and all of our guests who made it such a fun night. See you next time!
Because there was such an interest in the beautiful new Riedel Veritas Wine Glasses that we used AND gave away at the tasting we have decided to make the set available for purchase at Bradshaws and online.
One more thing! We will be hosting another unique event at Revival House on May 7th - an elegant Pre-Mother's Day High Tea Service featuring Sloane Fine Teas and Miranda Kerr for Royal Albert Bone China Tea Collection.
