Naughty Nog and other Holiday Cocktail Recipes

Do you like to be the holiday cocktail rockstar? Check out these three holiday cocktail recipes graciously shared by cocktailer extraordinaire Jessie from Red Rabbit Resto!

Ginger Maple Hot Buttered Rum
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
3 tbls mayple syrup
1 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp all spice
3 cups boiling water
8 oz Myers Dark Rum
6 slices fresh ginger
Mix sugar, butter, maple, ginger, all spice

Transfer to a pitcher
Add boiling water and rum
Slice fresh ginger into empty mug and pour

Serves 6

"Hawt” Apple Cider
Gallon apple cider
2 cups Kraken Black Spiced Rum
1 cup Myers Dark Rum
4 cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves
2 star anise

Mix everything into crockpot
Heat on low and let the aromas get stronger all day
Dice some apples and rub in lemon to skewer for a garnish if you like

Naughty Nog Aged Eggnog
12 yolks (save whites for angel food cake!)
2 cups granulated sugar
1 litre bourbon
4 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup Cognac or brandy
1/2 cup Myers Dark Rum
pinch of kosher salt

Combine the yolks and sugar in a large bowl and whisk until well blended and creamy.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
Transfer the mixture to a 1-gallon glass jar and tightly seal the lid. (Alternatively, you can bottle it.) Place in the refrigerator for at least 3 weeks and up to 3 years (or till it’s as you like it!).
Serve topped with sweet meringue and nutmeg if you wish.
