Are you in the loop for #CanadaDayWeekend?

On Canada Day, celebrate youth and community... Cycle Stratford is leading both long & short bike rides for all, and the YMCA is leading a Fun Run and Treasure Hunt around Lake Victoria. You do not need to register in advance for the Fun Run or the Bike Rides. Bike Rides start at 7:30 am at the Kiwanis Centre and the Fun Run starts at 8:00 am at the Veterans Parkland Bandshell.

Breakfast is available at the Stratford Slow Food Market and the Stratford and District Agricultural Society kiosks at 8:30 am.

Check out this link to find all the Morning Activities taking place from 7:30am-11:30am!

Make sure not to miss the announcement and judging of the winners of the Victorian Beard Growing Contest! Categories for the contest are best beard, best mutton chops, and best mustache, all of which will be judged on Canada Day.

Victorian Beard Growing Contest

11:00 AM TO 4:00 PM

Following the morning events, the Market Square Canada Day celebration begins, offering exciting activities such as cupcake decorating by the Girl Guides, face painting, inflatable rides, clowns Bogle and Toast and professional musicians and bands on a large stage behind City Hall in the new Market Square. There will also be a selection of delicious food vendors available all afternoon.

Highlights of the afternoon celebration include the introduction and unveiling of Stratford's Sesquicentennial Legacy Sculpture for Market Square as well as performances by the Stratford Festival Performers, local band Dan Stacey & the Black Swans, Judy's School of Dance, Kolton Stewart and more! Artistic Director, Antoni Cimolino and Mayor Dan Mathieson will present the annual Bronze Star Awards that recognize individuals on a national or international scale who have contributed profoundly to the City or to Canada.

7:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Canada Day is never complete without a parade. In 2017, Kinsmen Club of Stratford is organizing an exciting evening of activities for young and old. The parade profiles the businesses and organizations of Stratford, and provides an excellent stage for our service clubs and our youth to demonstrate their contributions to the community and their achievements. The SERC concert showcases the best musicians for our community and gives us reason to be proud of our culture and our talent. Culminating with a fabulous fireworks display, this is an evening not to be missed. Join the party and come on out for the night!

Parade Schedule

7PM | Parade starts at Central Flats, proceeds to Birmingham, to St. Patrick, to Wellington, to Downie, to Ontario, to Huron to Giant Tiger.
8PM | Concert at SERC featuring local musicians Steve Adair "Yeager" and Trent Severn Concert

10PM (DUSK) | Fireworks at SERC
