Thank you to the many people who attended our annual Bradshaws Christmas Open House this past Thursday November 8th!
The week leading up to our Open House is highly anticipated by our customers - but can be a bit daunting for our staff who work extremely hard to bring a very special holiday overhaul to our store. We are lucky to have an incredible team of staff who literally transform our store into something VERY special. I had many people tell me over the last few days that they look forward to our Open House every year and have made it a family tradition to attend! YOU have told us that the Bradshaws Christmas Open House is the kickoff to the season. Thank you for all of your kind and supportive words!
Thank you for supporting OUR local and independently run Canadian business. We are now 117 years old! Thanks to YOUR support of OUR business, we are able to support other independently run local businesses in Stratford and surrounding areas- such as:
Laura Barker at Catherine Wright Designs who supply us with the beautiful natural spruce garland that hangs outside our store - and to my husband, Jeremy, who braves the elements each year up a 10 foot ladder to painstakingly hang the garland!
Hamlet Gardens - who always designs the most beautiful planter boxes at the front of our store - both summer and winter.
Amede Lamarche of Hugo & Nate Confections, who came to our Open House to let all of you sample his buttery and creamy hand-made caramels. I certainly sampled Absolutely divine.
Jenny Stacey of Jenny's Brittle, who provides us with the most amazing flavours of peanut brittle made right here in downtown Stratford! My favourites: Candy cane brittle, maraschino cherry brittle, chili brittle, black peppercorn brittle, and of course, BACON brittle.
Mary Margaret Gascho Photography... Mary was in the store not only as an attendee of her first Bradshaws Christmas Open House, but she was kind enough to take incredible shots of our store windows, our valued customers and our hard working staff. (check out some of her images below!)
Debbie of The Garlic Box - from Hensall, Ontario was on hand to mix up some delicious and garlicky mocktails! A great holiday entertaining idea. Their website has lots of great recipe ideas too!
And Chef Ian MacArthur of Stratford's Food At Your Fingertips was in-store making delicious Stonewall Kitchen waffles served with spiced whipped cream and holiday syrup!
One last thing... This time last year, I was 9 months pregnant and about ready to pop. Hard to believe we will be celebrating our daughter Gigi's first birthday in only a couple of weeks!
